   I’ve been wearing Jour d’Hermes on and off for a few weeks now (2013). The base rests on Musk and Woody Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Grapefruit/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   For a 2013 release, Jour d’Hermes deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Grapefruit with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Grapefruit alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   A couple of wears in, Jour d’Hermes has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Musk plus Woody Notes and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Grapefruit/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Everyone keeps talking about Jour d’Hermes, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Musk and Woody Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and White Flowers with Gardenia comes forward — smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.
