These Terms of Service govern your use of ParfumeLore (the “Site”). By browsing, registering or contributing content you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The encyclopedia
ParfumeLore presents a large catalogue of fragrance information for reference and entertainment. We work to keep it accurate but perfume data changes over time, and listings may contain errors or omissions. Information on the Site is not professional or medical advice.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to register. One person may maintain one account; systematic creation of multiple accounts to manipulate votes, reviews or rankings is not allowed.
Your content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you post (reviews, forum posts, comments, photos and similar) and grant ParfumeLore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it through the Site. You confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights.
Do not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, spam, malware, deceptive, or that impersonates another person. Do not attempt to disrupt the Site, scrape it at scale, or interfere with other members. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Ratings, votes and community features
Votes, reviews and forum posts are member opinions. Ratings shown on perfume pages are community averages and are not endorsements. Manipulating ratings, buying or selling votes, or coordinating fake engagement is prohibited.
Buying links and affiliate disclosure
Some pages include links to shops or price-comparison services. Where those links use affiliate programmes, ParfumeLore may earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking, at no extra cost to you. We do not control those shops and are not responsible for their products, prices or service.
Trademarks and copyright
Fragrance names, house names and product images shown on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification, commentary and reference purposes only.
Disclaimers and liability
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParfumeLore is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Site, reliance on its content, or purchases made through third-party links.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, without prejudice to any other rights.
Changes
We may revise these terms. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
