   I picked up Norne (2012) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Fir with Incense comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Fir and Incense feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   A decant of Norne sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Fir with Incense comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Fir with Incense, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Slumberhouse experience was this one, Norne (2012). The heart is the best part for me: Fir and Incense feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Fir with Incense, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Fir with Incense, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
