   A couple of wears in, Invictus Aqua has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Yuzu alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Yuzu with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Rabanne experience was this one, Invictus Aqua (2016). That first spray gives a lovely Yuzu/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Sea water and Violet Leaf feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Invictus Aqua on and off for a few weeks now (2016). Give it a little time and Sea water with Violet Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Ambergris plus Amberwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   I’ve been wearing Invictus Aqua on and off for a few weeks now (2016). As it settles, Ambergris and Amberwood come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sea water with Violet Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Give it a little time and Sea water with Violet Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The drydown leans on Ambergris plus Amberwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
