   Everyone keeps talking about Black Incense Malaki, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Smoke feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Leather with Smoke comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Black Incense Malaki (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Leather with Smoke comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Smoke, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I picked up Black Incense Malaki (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Smoke, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Leather with Smoke comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
