   Everyone keeps talking about Heat Rush, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Passionfruit with Blood Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Amber and Musk come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

The base rests on Amber and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Heat Rush has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Mango Blossom with Orchid comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Mango Blossom and Orchid feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Picked up a sample of Heat Rush after reading the community buzz (2010). The first minutes are all about Passionfruit with a hint of Blood Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Mango Blossom with Orchid, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   For a 2010 release, Heat Rush deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Amber and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The opening is built around Passionfruit and Blood Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
