   A decant of Odeur 53 sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Metallic notes with Clay comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Metallic notes and Clay feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   A couple of wears in, Odeur 53 has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Metallic notes with Clay comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Metallic notes and Clay feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Metallic notes with Clay, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I picked up Odeur 53 (1998) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Metallic notes with Clay comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Metallic notes with Clay, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Give it a little time and Metallic notes with Clay comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
