   A decant of Santal Calling sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Sandalwood and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I’ve been wearing Santal Calling on and off for a few weeks now (2022). The very first sniff is crisp Nutmeg, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Sandalwood and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   For a 2022 release, Santal Calling deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Iris with Milk comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Sandalwood and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I have owned Santal Calling for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Sandalwood and Musk come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Sandalwood and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Everyone keeps talking about Santal Calling, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Milk, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Milk feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
