   For a 2011 release, Still Life deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Galbanum with Star Anise, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Rum plus Virginia Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   For a 2011 release, Still Life deserves more attention than it gets. As it settles, Rum and Virginia Cedar come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Galbanum and Star Anise feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Still Life has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Yuzu alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Galbanum with Star Anise comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. The composition is well made but not for me.

As it settles, Rum and Virginia Cedar come through and give it real depth. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Give it a little time and Galbanum with Star Anise comes forward — smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A decant of Still Life sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Yuzu/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Yuzu with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

As it settles, Rum and Virginia Cedar come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
