A friend passed me a decant of Jicky (1889) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Vanilla and Leather β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vanilla and Leather come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

My first Guerlain experience was this one, Jicky (1889). That first spray gives a lovely Rosemary/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Rosemary with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This one gets my highest praise β€” beautiful from start to finish.

I have owned Jicky for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Rosemary alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Leather and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I picked up Jicky (1889) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Rosemary with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I’ve been wearing Jicky on and off for a few weeks now (1889). The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Lavender with Tonka Bean comes forward β€” smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

For a 1889 release, Jicky deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Vanilla and Leather β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Rosemary alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Picked up a sample of Jicky after reading the community buzz (1889). As it settles, Vanilla and Leather come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A decant of Jicky sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Rosemary and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Vanilla and Leather β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

I’ve been wearing Jicky on and off for a few weeks now (1889). The opening is built around Rosemary and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Rosemary with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Everyone keeps talking about Jicky, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Vanilla and Leather β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vanilla and Leather come through and give it real depth. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The base rests on Vanilla and Leather β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I’ve been wearing Jicky on and off for a few weeks now (1889). The opening is built around Rosemary and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
