   A couple of wears in, Enigma has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Orris Root plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Orris Root and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Roja Dove knows how to compose, and Enigma (2013) is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Heliotrope feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Orris Root and Vanilla come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A decant of Enigma sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Peach/Neroli impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Peach with a hint of Neroli — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
