   I have owned Ta’if for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Dates, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Dates — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Everyone keeps talking about Ta’if, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Dates impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Dates peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The drydown leans on Amber plus Broom and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   For a 2004 release, Ta’if deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Taif Rose with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Amber and Broom come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Picked up a sample of Ta’if after reading the community buzz (2004). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Taif Rose with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Taif Rose and Freesia feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

As it settles, Amber and Broom come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The base rests on Amber and Broom — warm, grounded and easy to live with. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

    I picked up Ta’if (2004) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Dates — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Taif Rose with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I would happily buy a full bottle.
