   Picked up a sample of White Suede after reading the community buzz (2009). The very first sniff is crisp Thyme with Tea peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Suede plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about White Suede. The first minutes are all about Thyme with a hint of Tea — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Thyme/Tea impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Everyone keeps talking about White Suede, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Suede and Musk come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Lily-of-the-Valley and Saffron feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing White Suede on and off for a few weeks now (2009). The very first sniff is crisp Thyme with Tea peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley with Saffron, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   I have owned White Suede for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Thyme/Tea impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Thyme and Tea — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I wanted to like it more than I did.
