   A friend passed me a decant of Cuté (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Peony with Freesia peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Magnolia with Lily-of-the-Valley, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Picked up a sample of Cuté after reading the community buzz (2012). The very first sniff is crisp Peony with Freesia peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Cedarwood and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   For a 2012 release, Cuté deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Peony with a hint of Freesia — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Peony/Freesia impression that dries down smoothly. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
