Chloé knows how to compose, and Chloé Eau de Parfum (2008) is proof. The base rests on Virginia Cedar and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Peony with Litchi peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. The composition is well made but not for me.

I’ve been wearing Chloé Eau de Parfum on and off for a few weeks now (2008). The base rests on Virginia Cedar and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Virginia Cedar plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Chloé Eau de Parfum. The first minutes are all about Peony with a hint of Litchi — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Peony with Litchi peeking through, very much my kind of start. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

A couple of wears in, Chloé Eau de Parfum has really grown on me. As it settles, Virginia Cedar and Amber come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Lily-of-the-Valley, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Chloé Eau de Parfum. Right away I get mostly Peony alongside Litchi, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Virginia Cedar plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

My first Chloé experience was this one, Chloé Eau de Parfum (2008). The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Lily-of-the-Valley feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Rose with Lily-of-the-Valley comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

My first Chloé experience was this one, Chloé Eau de Parfum (2008). That first spray gives a lovely Peony/Litchi impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Virginia Cedar plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Everyone keeps talking about Chloé Eau de Parfum, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Peony and Litchi — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Virginia Cedar and Amber come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Lily-of-the-Valley, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I would happily buy a full bottle.
