Marc Jacobs knows how to compose, and Daisy (2007) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Blood Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Violet with Gardenia comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

For a 2007 release, Daisy deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Violet Leaf/Blood Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Blood Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I have owned Daisy for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Violet Leaf with a hint of Blood Grapefruit β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Gardenia feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I picked up Daisy (2007) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Gardenia feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Violet with Gardenia comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Everyone keeps talking about Daisy, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Musk and White Woods come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Gardenia, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Daisy. The opening is built around Violet Leaf and Blood Grapefruit β€” bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Violet Leaf/Blood Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

A couple of wears in, Daisy has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Gardenia feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Violet with Gardenia comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

As it settles, Musk and White Woods come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I’ve been wearing Daisy on and off for a few weeks now (2007). The first minutes are all about Violet Leaf with a hint of Blood Grapefruit β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Musk and White Woods β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Right away I get mostly Violet Leaf alongside Blood Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day.
