   Rabanne knows how to compose, and La Nuit (1985) is proof. Give it a little time and White Honey with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Artemisia with Basil peeking through, very much my kind of start. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I have owned La Nuit for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Artemisia/Basil impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Artemisia with a hint of Basil — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A decant of La Nuit sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Right away I get mostly Artemisia alongside Basil, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into White Honey with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A decant of La Nuit sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Artemisia and Basil — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: White Honey and Rose feel carefully balanced. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
