   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Wandervogel. The heart is the best part for me: Fennel and Anise feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Fennel with Anise comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   I picked up Wandervogel (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Mint/Sea Notes impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Sand and Musk come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A decant of Wandervogel sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Mint and Sea Notes — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Mint alongside Sea Notes, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Fennel with Anise, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I keep reaching for Wandervogel more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Sand plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Mint alongside Sea Notes, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
