   I keep reaching for Colonia Intensa more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Calabrian bergamot/Ginger impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Calabrian bergamot alongside Ginger, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first Acqua di Parma experience was this one, Colonia Intensa (2007). The drydown leans on Leather plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Leather and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Acqua di Parma knows how to compose, and Colonia Intensa (2007) is proof. The base rests on Leather and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Calabrian bergamot and Ginger — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The opening is built around Calabrian bergamot and Ginger — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   For a 2007 release, Colonia Intensa deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Neroli with Artemisia comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Calabrian bergamot alongside Ginger, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
