   My first Adidas experience was this one, Pure Lightness (2008). The very first sniff is crisp Melon with Red Apple peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Melon/Red Apple impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A decant of Pure Lightness sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Lily-of-the-Valley and Magnolia feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Melon with a hint of Red Apple — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Adidas knows how to compose, and Pure Lightness (2008) is proof. The base rests on Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Picked up a sample of Pure Lightness after reading the community buzz (2008). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley with Magnolia, which is where the fragrance really shines. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A couple of wears in, Pure Lightness has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Magnolia comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Musk come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
