   Aēsop knows how to compose, and Tacit (2015) is proof. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Cloves and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Basil, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Tacit. The very first sniff is crisp Yuzu with Citruses peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Yuzu alongside Citruses, fresh and very easy to wear. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Everyone keeps talking about Tacit, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Yuzu/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Basil feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Tacit (2015) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Vetiver and Cloves come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Yuzu/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I picked up Tacit (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Yuzu/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Cloves and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
