   A decant of Rare Reef sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The first minutes are all about Orange with a hint of Citron — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Orange alongside Citron, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   For a 2025 release, Rare Reef deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Fig and Ambrette — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Orange with Citron peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   For a 2025 release, Rare Reef deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Fig and Ambrette — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Fig and Ambrette come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I’ve been wearing Rare Reef on and off for a few weeks now (2025). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Apricot with Violet Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Apricot with Violet Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Rare Reef (2025) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Orange alongside Citron, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Fig and Ambrette — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I picked up Rare Reef (2025) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Apricot with Violet Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Fig and Ambrette come through and give it real depth. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

That first spray gives a lovely Orange/Citron impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
