   Picked up a sample of L’Aventure after reading the community buzz (2016). The base rests on Musk and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Lemon/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A couple of wears in, L’Aventure has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Musk and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

The base rests on Musk and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   For a 2016 release, L’Aventure deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Woody Notes and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A friend passed me a decant of L’Aventure (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Woody Notes with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Woody Notes and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
