   For a 2017 release, Beach Hut Man deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ivy with Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Woody Notes plus Myrrh and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   For a 2017 release, Beach Hut Man deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Ivy and Vetiver feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ivy with Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Beach Hut Man on and off for a few weeks now (2017). The first minutes are all about Mint with a hint of Galbanum — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Woody Notes and Myrrh — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Amouage knows how to compose, and Beach Hut Man (2017) is proof. Right away I get mostly Mint alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Mint with Galbanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The very first sniff is crisp Mint with Galbanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Picked up a sample of Beach Hut Man after reading the community buzz (2017). Right away I get mostly Mint alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Mint/Galbanum impression that dries down smoothly. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Give it a little time and Ivy with Vetiver comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
