   Amouage knows how to compose, and Crimson Rocks (2020) is proof. The drydown leans on Oak plus Atlas Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Cinnamon and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Everyone keeps talking about Crimson Rocks, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Oak and Atlas Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Cinnamon/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I keep reaching for Crimson Rocks more than I expected to. The opening is built around Cinnamon and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Cinnamon/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Rose feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honey with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

The drydown leans on Oak plus Atlas Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I wanted to like it more than I did.
