   A couple of wears in, Epic Man has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Olibanum impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Incense plus Agarwood (Oud) and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Epic Man on and off for a few weeks now (2009). The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Olibanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Myrrh with Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Olibanum, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Picked up a sample of Epic Man after reading the community buzz (2009). The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Olibanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Olibanum impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

   For a 2009 release, Epic Man deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Myrrh with Geranium, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Myrrh and Geranium feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Epic Man for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Olibanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Olibanum — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
