   For a 2011 release, Honour Woman deserves more attention than it gets. As it settles, Amber and Incense come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Rhuburb with a hint of Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Everyone keeps talking about Honour Woman, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Rhuburb with a hint of Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Rhuburb and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A couple of wears in, Honour Woman has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Gardenia and Tuberose feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Rhuburb with Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Amouage knows how to compose, and Honour Woman (2011) is proof. The opening is built around Rhuburb and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Rhuburb/Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A decant of Honour Woman sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Rhuburb and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Gardenia with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I have owned Honour Woman for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Rhuburb alongside Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Amber and Incense come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

The drydown leans on Amber plus Incense and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
