   A couple of wears in, Library Collection – Opus VI has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Amber plus Labdanum and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Amber and Labdanum come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Picked up a sample of Library Collection – Opus VI after reading the community buzz (2012). The first minutes are all about Incense with a hint of West Indian Bay — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Library Collection – Opus VI (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha and Patchouli feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Incense/West Indian Bay impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
