   I’ve been wearing Lyric Man on and off for a few weeks now (2008). The first minutes are all about Lime with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Lime alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

That first spray gives a lovely Lime/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. The composition is well made but not for me.

   Picked up a sample of Lyric Man after reading the community buzz (2008). The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Angelica feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Rose with Angelica comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Amouage knows how to compose, and Lyric Man (2008) is proof. As it settles, Musk and Incense come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Musk plus Incense and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The base rests on Musk and Incense — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I wanted to like it more than I did.
