   Picked up a sample of Meander after reading the community buzz (2020). That first spray gives a lovely Olibanum/Carrot Seeds impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Olibanum with Carrot Seeds peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I picked up Meander (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Orris with Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Olibanum alongside Carrot Seeds, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The very first sniff is crisp Olibanum with Carrot Seeds peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   My first Amouage experience was this one, Meander (2020). As it settles, Sandalwood and Olibanum come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Olibanum alongside Carrot Seeds, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I have owned Meander for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Sandalwood and Olibanum come through and give it real depth. The very first sniff is crisp Olibanum with Carrot Seeds peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

    For a 2020 release, Meander deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orris with Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Sandalwood and Olibanum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The composition is well made but not for me.
