   I keep reaching for Purpose more than I expected to. The opening is built around Olibanum and Black and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Vetiver with Papyrus comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I picked up Purpose (2023) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vetiver with Papyrus, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Vetiver with Papyrus comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I have owned Purpose for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Olibanum/Black and Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Olibanum and Black and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Purpose, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Olibanum with Black and Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Olibanum/Black and Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I picked up Purpose (2023) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As it settles, Akigalawood® and Suede come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vetiver with Papyrus, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   My first Amouage experience was this one, Purpose (2023). The base rests on Akigalawood® and Suede — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Olibanum and Black and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
