   A friend passed me a decant of Anna Sui (1999) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Apricot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Tonka Bean and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I keep reaching for Anna Sui more than I expected to. The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Apricot — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Bulgarian Rose feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I have owned Anna Sui for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Apricot, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Apricot impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Picked up a sample of Anna Sui after reading the community buzz (1999). The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Tonka Bean and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
