   I have owned Agua Brava for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Pine with Bay Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Lavender with a hint of Amalfi Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A couple of wears in, Agua Brava has really grown on me. The base rests on oak moss and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Lavender/Amalfi Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Agua Brava (1968) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on oak moss plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Lavender and Amalfi Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The drydown leans on oak moss plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The heart is the best part for me: Pine and Bay Leaf feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
