   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Oud. The opening is built around Spicy Notes and Caraway — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Amber and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, Oud has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Spicy Notes with a hint of Caraway — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Black Pepper with Cedar, which is where the fragrance really shines. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   As far as recent releases go, Oud deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Black Pepper with Cedar comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Amber plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Armaf knows how to compose, and Oud is proof. As it settles, Amber and Vanilla come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Black Pepper with Cedar, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Armaf knows how to compose, and Oud is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Black Pepper and Cedar feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Spicy Notes with a hint of Caraway — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I would happily buy a full bottle.
