   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Perceive. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Pear with Carnation comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A friend passed me a decant of Perceive (2000) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Yellow Freesia and White Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. The composition is well made but not for me.

   For a 2000 release, Perceive deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Pear with Carnation comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Yellow Freesia and White Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

As it settles, Musk and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Perceive (2000) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Yellow Freesia alongside White Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Pear with Carnation, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   For a 2000 release, Perceive deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Musk plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Pear with Carnation, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I’ve been wearing Perceive on and off for a few weeks now (2000). The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Yellow Freesia alongside White Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
