   For a 1974 release, Timeless deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Gardenia — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Gardenia peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Timeless (1974) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Gardenia — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Gardenia, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A friend passed me a decant of Timeless (1974) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Gardenia, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Opoponax and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Everyone keeps talking about Timeless, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Gardenia, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Patchouli with Cedar comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Timeless. As it settles, Opoponax and Amber come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Cedar, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned Timeless for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Gardenia — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Patchouli and Cedar feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
