   I’ve been wearing Today on and off for a few weeks now (2004). The very first sniff is crisp Freesia with Cactus peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Musk and Water Notes come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Avon knows how to compose, and Today (2004) is proof. The base rests on Musk and Water Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Tuberose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   My first Avon experience was this one, Today (2004). The first minutes are all about Freesia with a hint of Cactus — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tuberose with Orange Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A decant of Today sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Freesia and Cactus — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Tuberose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

Give it a little time and Tuberose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
