For a 2007 release, Ambré deserves more attention than it gets. As it settles, Amber and Oak come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Amber plus Oak and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

Picked up a sample of Ambré after reading the community buzz (2007). The base rests on Amber and Oak — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Red Apple alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

My first Baldessarini experience was this one, Ambré (2007). The drydown leans on Amber plus Oak and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Picked up a sample of Ambré after reading the community buzz (2007). The very first sniff is crisp Red Apple with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Red Apple with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

A couple of wears in, Ambré has really grown on me. As it settles, Amber and Oak come through and give it real depth. The opening is built around Red Apple and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A couple of wears in, Ambré has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Red Apple/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Amber plus Oak and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Ambré. Right away I get mostly Red Apple alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Violet feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I have owned Ambré for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Amber plus Oak and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I picked up Ambré (2007) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Amber plus Oak and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Leather with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I have owned Ambré for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Leather with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Violet feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Baldessarini knows how to compose, and Ambré (2007) is proof. Right away I get mostly Red Apple alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

I’ve been wearing Ambré on and off for a few weeks now (2007). Give it a little time and Leather with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. That first spray gives a lovely Red Apple/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
