   I keep reaching for Forever Red more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Red Peony with Osmanthus, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Rum and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I’ve been wearing Forever Red on and off for a few weeks now (2012). That first spray gives a lovely Pomegranate/Peach impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Pomegranate and Peach — bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A decant of Forever Red sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Vanilla and Rum come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Red Peony with Osmanthus comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
