   bdk Parfums knows how to compose, and Sel d’Argent (2020) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tunisian Orange Blossom with Madagascar Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Salt alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I’ve been wearing Sel d’Argent on and off for a few weeks now (2020). The drydown leans on White Musk plus Ambroxan and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Salt and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   bdk Parfums knows how to compose, and Sel d’Argent (2020) is proof. Right away I get mostly Salt alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Tunisian Orange Blossom and Madagascar Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
