   A friend passed me a decant of Tribu (1993) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Black Currant and Italian Mandarin — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Tahitian Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   My first Benetton experience was this one, Tribu (1993). The base rests on Oakmoss and Tahitian Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Tahitian Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I keep reaching for Tribu more than I expected to. As it settles, Oakmoss and Tahitian Vetiver come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Black Currant alongside Italian Mandarin, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A couple of wears in, Tribu has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Black Currant with Italian Mandarin peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Black Currant alongside Italian Mandarin, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I’ve been wearing Tribu on and off for a few weeks now (1993). The heart is the best part for me: Chamomile and Moroccan Jasmine feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Black Currant with a hint of Italian Mandarin — it grabs attention without being pushy. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   A couple of wears in, Tribu has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Chamomile with Moroccan Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Chamomile and Moroccan Jasmine feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
