   A friend passed me a decant of Bijan (1986) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honey with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Tuberose feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Bijan. The very first sniff is crisp Ylang-Ylang with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Benzoin plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Bijan. The opening is built around Ylang-Ylang and Orange Blossom — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Ylang-Ylang/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Picked up a sample of Bijan after reading the community buzz (1986). As it settles, Benzoin and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Ylang-Ylang alongside Orange Blossom, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
