   My first Burberry experience was this one, Body Tender (2013). As it settles, Musk and Cashmere Wood come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Tea, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I have owned Body Tender for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Wormwood with a hint of Apple — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Musk and Cashmere Wood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I keep reaching for Body Tender more than I expected to. The opening is built around Wormwood and Apple — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Wormwood with Apple peeking through, very much my kind of start. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Tea feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A decant of Body Tender sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The drydown leans on Musk plus Cashmere Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Wormwood with Apple peeking through, very much my kind of start. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Everyone keeps talking about Body Tender, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Wormwood with a hint of Apple — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Rose with Tea comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Tea feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
