   I keep reaching for Accord Oud more than I expected to. Give it a little time and Leather with Agarwood (Oud) comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Agarwood (Oud) feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I’ve been wearing Accord Oud on and off for a few weeks now (2010). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Agarwood (Oud), which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Byredo knows how to compose, and Accord Oud (2010) is proof. As it settles, Patchouli and Musk come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The base rests on Patchouli and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
