Picked up a sample of Blanche after reading the community buzz (2009). The drydown leans on Musk plus Woodsy Notes and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Rose β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I have owned Blanche for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Rose impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Musk and Woodsy Notes come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This one gets my highest praise β€” beautiful from start to finish.

I keep reaching for Blanche more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Rose peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

My first Byredo experience was this one, Blanche (2009). Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Rose, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Everyone keeps talking about Blanche, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Rose β€” bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Musk and Woodsy Notes come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

For a 2009 release, Blanche deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Musk plus Woodsy Notes and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Rose β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

A decant of Blanche sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Peony and Violet feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Rose peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This one gets my highest praise β€” beautiful from start to finish.

Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

A couple of wears in, Blanche has really grown on me. As it settles, Musk and Woodsy Notes come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Peony with Violet comes forward β€” smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
