   I’ve been wearing Eau d’Eden on and off for a few weeks now (1996). The very first sniff is crisp Iris with Rose peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Hiacynth with Nectarine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The opening is built around Iris and Rose — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Right away I get mostly Iris alongside Rose, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, Eau d’Eden has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Hiacynth with Nectarine comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Iris alongside Rose, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Eau d’Eden (1996) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Fruits and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Fruits and White Musk come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

    I keep reaching for Eau d’Eden more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Iris/Rose impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Hiacynth and Nectarine feel carefully balanced. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
