   Picked up a sample of CK2 after reading the community buzz (2016). The base rests on Vetiver and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vetiver and White Musk come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Calvin Klein knows how to compose, and CK2 (2016) is proof. Right away I get mostly Wasabi alongside Violet Leaf, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Wasabi with a hint of Violet Leaf — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A friend passed me a decant of CK2 (2016) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Wasabi with Violet Leaf peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Pebbles and Hedione feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The very first sniff is crisp Wasabi with Violet Leaf peeking through, very much my kind of start. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I’ve been wearing CK2 on and off for a few weeks now (2016). That first spray gives a lovely Wasabi/Violet Leaf impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus White Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
