   My first Calvin Klein experience was this one, Reveal (2014). The first minutes are all about Salt with a hint of Black Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Salt and Black Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I’ve been wearing Reveal on and off for a few weeks now (2014). As it settles, Cashmeran and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Cashmeran and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Reveal for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Cashmeran plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Salt with Black Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I keep reaching for Reveal more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Salt alongside Black Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ambergris with Iris, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Reveal. Give it a little time and Ambergris with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Salt with a hint of Black Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Right away I get mostly Salt alongside Black Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
