   A decant of Image sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Banana Leaf impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Cypress with Fig Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A friend passed me a decant of Image (1998) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Banana Leaf peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Banana Leaf impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Image has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Cypress with Fig Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Banana Leaf, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Banana Leaf impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I have owned Image for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Tahitian Vetiver plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Tahitian Vetiver and Musk come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

The heart is the best part for me: Cypress and Fig Leaf feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cypress with Fig Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
