   For a 2015 release, Chance Eau Vive deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and White Musk feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Blood Orange and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Everyone keeps talking about Chance Eau Vive, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Vetiver and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

That first spray gives a lovely Blood Orange/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with White Musk, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

As it settles, Vetiver and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
